About Dr. Comartin

With over 15 years of experience meeting the needs of students in various school settings, Dr. Comartin understands the nuances of working with both public and private school schools to provide strategies and services for students who need support. He is a credentialed School Psychologist and Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #3861). Dr. Comartin has held positions in multiple areas of specialty and leadership in the public school setting, including working as a Program Specialist and Director of Student Services & Special Education. He has been a credentialed School Psychologist since 2010.

Dr. Comartin earned his Doctorate in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Neuropsychological Assessment and Intervention, at Alliant International University in San Francisco, CA. Prior to his doctoral study, Dr. Comartin received his Master’s in Clinical Child/School Psychology in the NASP-approved School Psychology program at California State University East Bay.

Dr. Comartin is an Adjunct Lecturer in California State University East Bay’s School Psychology Program. He has taught multiple graduate-level courses in neuropsychological and social-emotional assessment. An active speaker, Dr. Comartin has been invited to speak at multiple schools and professional conferences, including recent presentations on dyslexia for CSUEB graduate students and organizations such as the Santa Clara County Association of School Psychologists (SCCASP).

Dr. Comartin lives in Aptos with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching little league, mountain biking, and ocean fishing.
